The benefits of independence

I have discovered a major benefit of being able to get out of my cot by myself in the morning. It means that I am able to do whatever I want until Daddy or Mummy is awake.
This morning I sneaked out and quickly found the packet of chocolate digestive biscuits in the cupboard. The packet still contained three of the delicious biscuits. So, since no one was around, I proceeded to eat all of them!!! I put the empty packet on the kitchen bench, so when Daddy came out, he could deduce what I had done. Rather than being angry, he thought it was very amusing and told Mummy about it as soon as she was up.
Since there doesn't seem to be any punishment resulting from my helping myself to some biscuits, I will probably try this again. Mummy and Daddy seem to just be happy with the fact that I don't come into their room and wake them up once I am awake.
