Swimming Pool!!

It was really hot today and Daddy called me out to the backyard, where there was a little swimming pool!! I couldn't get into my togs fast enough and jump into the pool! Needless to say, the water was a bit colder than the baths I am used to. But I got used to it pretty soon. After playing in the pool for a good while, I went inside and had a nice hot shower.
Later we went to Colin's place. He had won this gift basket in a raffle, and wanted to give it to us. It was very kind of him and although Mummy and Daddy protested a lot, he wouldn't hear of it. So we now have a huge basket of goodies to eat!

Today was another hot day so Mummy put me into my swimming togs and let me play outside with two tubs of water. Well that was great fun!! Here I am learning about this thing called "gravity" which pulls the water down through the funnel and makes the wheel spin, spraying me with water in the process! Unshackled by the rigid ignorance of Newtonian physics, I perhaps have a good chance of discovering a consistent, unifying quantum theory of gravity.

We went to Island Bay yet again today, since it was so fine, and this time Mummy came along. Daddy and I walked along the long pier and saw some men fishing. After playing in the park, we went and got an ice-cream from the same place as last time!!

I went to Island Bay again with Daddy and we had fun at the park. I played on the slides for a long time before trying my hand at the car, where I imagined myself zooming around corners and tooting my horn at everyone. Later we got an ice-cream at the cafe in the movie theatre near the Island Bay shops.

Queen Elizabeth Park

These are a few photos from when we went to a day trip to Queen Elizabeth Park (near Paekakariki). There was a restored tram there that we could go on a little ride on, and there are some horse stables where people can rent a horse to go horse riding. Outside the stables, there was a little pony that I would be able to ride on. This is going to happen "next time" we come here. I didn't mind because I was scared to even touch the pony. Daddy enquired about the horse riding and was informed how much it would cost for Mummy to ride a horse, and for me to ride the pony, but that he was probably too big (read: heavy) to use the horses there. Mummy found this very amusing. Daddy is planning to lose weight.

New Year's Day

Daddy and I took another trip since it was such a lovely sunny day. This time we went to Island Bay.
Since it was New Year's Day, it was very quiet so we just walked around and Daddy pointed to lots of things and we discussed them.
