BAR BEE CUE !!!
We went to a place called Bunnings Warehouse today because Daddy wanted to buy a barbecue. I went with Mummy to play on the slide in the kids area while Daddy looked at the barbecues. There were some big kids playing there so I wasn't so keen to play until they had left. Daddy came over and announced that he had chosen the barbecue and showed it to us. It was in a HUGE box!! Before leaving we noticed a barbecue set up outside the store selling fried sausages so we each bought one. They were delicious! Then Mummy and Daddy had a go at squeezing that huge box into our little car. They were almost giving up when a man came along and offered to help, which was just as well since it was raining and we and the BBQ were all getting wet. Anyway, he helped Daddy swivel it around on the front car seat so that it would go into the car. Then we all got into the car and drove home. The whole way there Mummy was laughing at Daddy because of the way he had to sit to fit into the front seat of the car with the BBQ behind him. He had to sit in a very uncomfortable, squashed up position that made him look like Houdini encased in a tiny glass box. Anyway Mummy found it very funny and Daddy was good natured about it. I think he was planning to tickle Mummy later about it. After we got the BBQ out of the car we all got back in and went back to Pak n' Save to do some shopping. That was mostly uneventful. I was good and helped Mummy and Daddy with the shopping. When we had finished getting the goods, Daddy and I went looking for some boxes to put the stuff in. We were standing in one aisle when I noticed a trolley with two little boys in approaching me fast. I didn't really know what was happening until suddenly Daddy put his arm in front of the trolley and stopped it forcefully. It turned out there was another boy who had been pushing the trolley, and running! And the trolley had been heading straight for me. Well Daddy looked very angry with the boy and told him he should not be running in the supermarket especially with a trolley full of groceries and other boys. The boy didn't seem to care too much and went away with the trolley. Daddy looked around for the boys' Mummy or Daddy but couldn't find them which is probably just as well. Anyway Daddy told Mummy about it and they were both glad that he was there to stop the trolley because probably only a second later it would have hit me and I could have been quite badly hurt. I should probably also try to move out of the way if it happens again...
