Recently in the mornings when I get up Daddy (or Mummy on the rare occasions that Daddy has already gone to work) makes me a cup of Milo to drink. I like it a lot because it tastes like chocolate and I even get to help make it by spooning the powder into the cup. So here I am having my cup of milo, and I am wearing my Sleeping Beauty dress.
It was a nice sunny day today and Daddy didn't have to go to work, so we planned to go to a park in Khandallah. I wanted to wear my dress but apparently since we were going to go for a bush walk, so it was not appropriate clothing. I don't get it because Sleeping Beauty and Snow White etc. all got to walk around in the forest with beautiful long dresses on. Anyway, sometimes there is just no way to reason with parents :-(

Well, here I am doing the flying fox at the park. I guess this would've been difficult with the dress on ...
When we did the bush walk, we climbed a small hill and took turns posing on a bench overlooking the harbour.
Daddy says he was pointing to a UFO that was flying by.

Now, Daddy also says that he wants you to compare these ...

Any resemblance??

Yes, the one on the right is indeed the Macho Man Randy Savage:

OOOOWWH YEEEEAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Baby Benjamin

Today we went to my best friend Annabelle's home to meet her new little baby brother Benjamin. He is such a tiny little man!! I had a look at him when he was lying down in his cot, but I was mainly there to play with Annabelle, so I did that most of the time. Anyway, Mummy and Daddy seemed to be giving Benjamin lots of attention. After a while, Mummy and Daddy told me it was time to leave, but I wanted to stay to play with Annabelle! I tried crying a bit but that didn't change their minds, so I tried running away and hiding! But Daddy was too fast and caught me. So eventually I had to give in and go with them. They promised that we would come back to see them soon.

Tonight Daddy cooked dinner - tomato soup and pesto spaghetti! Well I liked the spaghetti but not the tomato soup because there were lots of chickpeas in it.

A Very Long Day!!

Today has been a very long, very busy day!! After a quick breakfast we went out to have a look at a ballet class in Tawa. Mummy and Daddy were wondering if I would like to join the class. It was all a bit too much for me! Although there were only about 7 other girls there, and they all had cute little pink skirts on, I was too shy to even look at them most of the time, and refused to join them. Mummy and Daddy are planning to take me again in a few weeks to see if I change my mind. Have to wait and see!

Mummy and Daddy have also been looking around at a few primary schools in Tawa lately since I will be going to school in a few years (!!!) We have looked at Greenacres school and Hampton Hill school so far. They seem to prefer Greenacres at this stage. But anyway, there was a fair at the Hampton Hill school today so after the ballet we went along to have a look. As usual, my activity wish list was:
1) merry go round
2) bouncy castle
3) food
As can be seen below 1) and 2) were achieved, with 3) thankfully coming soon after because all that jumping gave me a BIG appetite!

So we had lunch there once Daddy managed to coax me off the bouncy castle, and the lunch consisted of huge pieces of very delicious chocolate cake for $2!! After that we looked at the jumble sale and bought a lunchbox (for 50 cents). Then I wanted to have a go at the painting they were doing outside, and managed to get paint all over my fingers, and Daddy's new jacket.

Next we went to Porirua because I had an appointment at the photo studio for a portrait photo to be taken. Well I was a bit tired so wasn't really in a great mood and I refused to smile. Mummy put me into a fairy costume to see if that helped. It didn't. The photographer tried many things to cheer me up but I just didn't feel like smiling. But them Mummy and Daddy started to do a funny dance with hula hoops which just made me laugh and laugh, and while I was doing that, they got some good photos!

As you would expect, I fell to sleep in the car on the way home!

Tawa Market Day

There was a market day in Tawa Village today where lots of shops and community groups set up stalls to sell things and for kids to have some fun. I wanted to get my face painted so Mummy and Daddy let me do that. I asked for a butterfly to be painted on my face. So here is the final product ...
I was of course much happier about it than I look in the photo! It just took a bit of getting used to it ... haven't had it done before. I wonder when I will be allowed a tattoo?? (Daddy: Never)
Alan and Aidan were there because Alan was there showing off his BIG fire engine. I was still too scared of it to sit inside, and when Alan sounded the siren! It was SO loud!!

Garden Centre Visit

We went to a garden centre to buy some plants for our daycare centre. Daddy came with me and Annabelle's daddy came with her. It was only the older kids who were allowed to go so Toma couldn't join us. Anyway, it was exciting to ride on the bus to Plimmerton and then see the big garden centre.

After a nice man who works at the centre talked to us about the plants and we had a good look around, we all sat down in the centre's outdoor cafe area and had a snack. During that time Daddy sneaked away and bought some flowers and a little plant for us to give Mummy when we got home.On the bus back to the daycare centre, I sat next to Samuel and Daddy sat in front of us. As you can see, Saumuel looks like a nice polite boy...
But then Daddy and I corrupted him by pulling funny faces as you can see by his evidenced increasing mental disturbance.Samuel will never be the same again :-)

Father's Day

We went to The Skipping Bull restaurant in Tawa for dinner tonight to celebrate Father's Day. Daddy rewarded himself with a beer to go with his steak.
