Disco night!!

Tonight was a disco night at my daycare centre!! Mummy said I should wear the outfit Daddy bought for me when we were in Japan last. I decided to combine it with this cool visor.
Kiara and I, soon after making my entrance.

Annabelle arrived and we were excited to see each other, but felt very shy.

It was interesting to see the variety of outfits everyone chose to wear.

Daddy tried many times to take a nice photo of Annabelle and I but I kept frustrating Daddy by looking away at the last moment. I found it really funny to look every way except directly at the camera.

Then Annabelle started copying me ...

Eventually Daddy gave up trying to get a good photo.

I was also glad to see Mary at the disco since I had missed her since she had moved to the preschool.

Even after most of the kids and even adults get tired and go home, a few die-hard party goers (including myself) continue to boogie down as though they hadn't been doing the same for the last two hours already ... push play to watch the video.

Visiting the Drummands

We went to visit our friends the Drummand family today. Aidan and I had lots of fun playing in the sandpit...
Even their little doggy Angel was keen to have a go in the sandpit!!

They had a swing that I had a go on ...

And Mummy had a go too!!

Finally, Daddy and I played a little basketball. Yes, what we actually using was a volleyball, but that was all that was available. WILSON!! Ok if you get that film reference, try this one: PUT IT IN THE BASKET CHIEF!!!

Why?

My new favourite word now is "why?". I am wondering why things are so these days, and am asking Daddy constantly. I like challenging Daddy to answer my questions "why?". Here are some examples:
I asked Daddy why there was only one curtain on the kitchen window but two curtains on the other windows.
Daddy: "because the kitchen curtain is long enough to cover the whole window"
Me: "why?"
Daddy: "because that curtain is long"
Me: "why?"
Daddy: "thats how it was made"
Me: "why?"

Daddy didn't answer.

I found a different blanket on my bed, so I asked Daddy:
Me: "whats this?"
Daddy: "its a big blanket. Mummy put it on your bed because it was cold last night."
Me: "why?"
Daddy: "because it was cold."
Me: "why?"
Daddy: "because its winter now, so its cold"
Me: "why?"
Daddy: "because we are on part of the Earth that is further from the Sun at the moment"
Me: "why?"
Daddy: "because as the Earth goes around the Sun, it also wobbles on its north-south axis, and at the moment the top half is tilted towards the Sun and the lower half, where we are, is tilted away from it"
Me: "why?"
Daddy: " ... because it just is"
Me: "why?"

Daddy didn't answer me again. So frustrating!

Asian Festival

We went to an Asian Market Night / Festival tonight. After waiting a loooong time to get in (like, an hour) because it was free, we went in and tried some SE Asian foods. Then there were the performances ...
Some Vietnamese ladies did this dance with their traditional hats.

And there were some Chinese DRAGONS dancing around!! I didn't like them very much. They were colourful, but they were also LOUD!!

Anyway, it was so crowded, we decided not to stay too long.

Baby Shower Day

Annabelle's mummy is going to be having a baby soon - a little brother or sister for Annabelle!! So Mummy was invited to the baby shower to celebrate the coming birth. Daddy and I stayed at Annabelle's house with her and her daddy while Mummy went out with all the other ladies to the party. I had a good time playing with Annabelle. She kept getting into this "egg" and I rolled it around.

Toma's Birthday

Today was Toma's birthday party!! He's turned three now, just like me!

Here we are all thinking, `ok the candles are blown out already!! Hurry up and give us the cake!!'

Ahh bliss!!
