The Police Museum

After Isabella's party we met Uncle Ezekiel and Auntie Susan and after having lunch in Tawa we went to the Police Museum in Porirua. I tried on some vintage police uniforms ...
... but the hats were too big.
On the other hand, the hats were too small for Daddy. Here he is posing with a strangely funny man who happened to be there.
Daddy enjoyed getting into character, shouting "Oi! You stop there fellow!" The coat he was wearing almost popped open!
Here Daddy looked quite cool and handsome on the motorcycle ...
... until it all of a sudden sprang into life and zoomed forward!!!
Mummy had a go on the bike, but was naughty because she didn't want to wear the helmet despite how much Daddy insisted. She kept saying something about her hair getting messed up.
Uncle Ezekiel did wear the helmet and looked confident on the bike. But Daddy says he has a weird smile like Garth's from Wayne's World.
I rode the motorcycle with Auntie Susan who also seemed quite confident and made cool vrooming noises (since the bike had been operationally disabled after the incident with Daddy, we just had to pretend).
Here finally is a nice one of Auntie Susan and Uncle Ezekiel (except for Ezekiel's hair). Daddy wonders which one is Jon and which one is Ponch?? I don't get it - must be some old people's joke.

Isabella's birthday party

I was invited to Isabella's birthday party which was held this morning, and I was very excited to go! Here we are all having morning tea together. Sitting next to me is Lars (a.k.a. Superman), Isabella's big brother. On the other side of me is Mary (also from the daycare), and going around the table from her, there is Isabella, two family friends (not sure of their names), and Hunter (also from the daycare).
Isabella's mum helped her blow out the candles on her cake.
I gave Isabella these colouring pens for her birthday!
We all posed for a photo, but Hunter and I got shy at the wrong moment.
We were all very happy when they started handing out Chupa-Chups lollipops! It was the first time for me to have one! (And the last according to Daddy - we'll see ...)
I was glad to spend time with Hunter and Mary at the party.

We started paying a game in the lounge with crepe paper and balloons which basically involvd running around in circles. I think the idea was we were meant to stop when the music stopped, but we just kept on running!

When it was time to go I gave Isabella a nice hug goodbye and said "happy birthday" to her, which made her look very happy. Actually she looked very happy most of the time!!

Ezekiel and Susan Visiting

My Auntie Susan and Uncle Ezekiel have come down to Wellington to visit us. I was a bit shy at first since I haven't seen them for a long time, but slowly got used to having them around.Auntie Susan and I did some drawing and colouring. Here I am showing her how to count to five using your fingers. She seemed very receptive to my lesson.

Annabelle's Birthday Party

Annabelle is a good friend of mine from the daycare, and she had her birthday party today. We all went and had a great time. One of my favourite parts was playing with the toy elephant that blew butterflies out its trunk and we had to catch them. Of course, another favourite part was the cake. Everyone sang the happy birthday song but I was too shy so just listened. We had such a good time we didn't even get to take any photos!!I like Annabelle and her parents too, so I hope I can see them again soon.

Daddy's Birthday

It is Daddy's birthday today and we went to Aotea Park, a big park near our home (just past Porirua).Mummy tried driving this funny skeleton of a car.
I was more interested in going on the slide, which I did about 50 times.
Daddy pushed me on the swing. He tried to teach me how to keep myself moving by swinging my legs to a certain rhythm. I didn't get it, but enjoyed seeing all the people looking at him as he was screaming "Innnn!! Ouuuuuttt!!" like a loony.
After all my exercise, I wanted to have a drink at the water fountain...
But everytime I tried to drink, Daddy managed to splash my face with the water!!! >:-(

Catching up with Nyanjiga

Click picture below for BIG version!!
Since I've been going to the daycare I have really been missing my good friend Nyanjiga from the creche, and haven't seen here since my birthday! So today we got to catch up - Mummy and Daddy and I met Nyanjiga and her parents and we decided since the weather wasn't very good (as usual) to go to Te Papa museum. We had a great time!
