A Change of Plans

Now, we had been planning to actually go back home to NZ a week or so ago but quite soon after our trip to Harajuku, we all came down with a mysterious illness. It was either a really nasty cold, or some mild influenza-type bug. Anyway, it put Mummy and Daddy out of commission for a good few days and I did not feel so great either, although I was perhaps less affected than them.
So after a few visits to the doctor, we decided it would be best if we stayed a while to get over whatever the sickness was . It worked out well because it meant I could have my birthday here (we were feeling much better by then). But what has been decided now is that Daddy is going to go back to NZ first and I will go back with Mummy later, just to give me some more time to get over the illness completely. It also means that I get to spend lots of time here in Japan and Daddy will have some quiet for doing his work. The only negative is that I won't see Daddy for a while, so I'm a bit sad about that. But hopefully it won't be too long.

My Second Birthday!!!

YES! Its my birthday again!! So you don't just have one of these ... you have one every year!! I like that idea. This is my second birthday, so that makes me two (2) apparently. Here is the cake Obaachan bought for me! The sign says "Happy Birthday Jennifer" in Japanese. I decided to pose with Ojiichan in front of the cake. Can I eat it now?
It seems the candles have to be lit before I can eat the cake.
Now I have to blow out the candles before I can eat it! Then why light them in the first place??? Its just making it take longer before I can get to eat it!!
Yay!! Now I get to eat it!! Its so yummy!!!!
Now I start to worry about the cream going to my hips...
