Meiji Jingu Shrine
I went with Mummy and Daddy to Meiji Jingu shrine in Harajuku today. After bypassing lots of weird kids wearing even more weird clothes, we went down a long road to the entrance of the shrine. Here we wash our hands to purify ourselves before entering the sacred area where Emperor Meiji and Empress Skoken are enshrined.
We then proceed through this huge Torii gate ...
... to the inner part of the shrine ...

... and at the inner-most part (where photos are forbidden) we throw a 5 yen coin and say a prayer. I enjoyed the visit, but it was a long walk for someone with such little legs!
