At the Onsen

We are now staying at a ryoukan (traditional inn) at an onsen (hot spring) in Izu. It is strange, this custom of half-cooking yourself in giant tubs of steaming water.

My Auntie Akemi

I really like my Auntie Akemi and have lots of fun with her. But she doesn't come home until quite late at night, so I don't want to go to bed until I can see her. When she does get home I am usually so excited I still don't want to go to bed for a long time!

Japan again!

Well my head is all in a spin lately because not long after returning to Wellington from Auckland, we were on another plane, this time going to Japan!! Here's a photo of me having just emerged from the ofuro (very hot bath) and wearing the yukata that Daddy bought for me.

Boxing Day

We went to Great-Auntie Marcia's home for Boxing Day lunch. There was this huge fat fluffy cat who kept hanging around because it knew it would get fed if it stayed long enough. Since it was so fat and lazy, it didn't have the energy to run away when I came near it, so I had a good chance to pat and play with the cat a lot.

After that we went to the park near Uncle Ezekiel and Auntie Susan's home. We rode the see-saw and then I got a piggy-back from Uncle Ezekiel.
