On our way to Auckland

We are on our way to Auckland after spending a few days in Hamilton at a conference. We are going by train from Hamilton to Auckland so I'm enjoying running up and down the aisles and looking at the scenery speeding past the windows.

Japan Day

We went to Lower Hutt today, to a house dedicated to friendly NZ-Japan relations. They were having a special culture day there.

The house overlooks Lower Hutt.
This is a Girl's Day display of special dolls.
I met two nice Japanese ladies who were very taken with me.
After that we went to the shopping centre in Lower Hutt and discovered a little playground. I found this car the most exciting, so had a go driving it.
