Kashiwa

I went with Mummy and Daddy to a place called Kashiwa on the train, which was fun. I got to ride in the pushchair for the first time, and found it so comfortable, I went to sleep even before we left home and slept for three hours. When I woke up, Mummy and Daddy were having Takoyaki (Octopus balls - no, not what you're thinking). We had a look around Kashiwa, I had a feed, and then I went back to sleep! When I woke again, we had just arrived home. Ojiichan arrived home later on and he was wearing funny clothes. He was very happy to see me, and we took some photos.

Cot & Pushchair

Today we went out to get a rental cot and pushchair for me. We looked at pushchairs for sale, but thought they were too expensive and didn't warrant the cost, so we decided to rent that too. I found the trip very interesting, but so long on the way home because of the traffic that I fell to sleep.

Day of Rest

We slept in today but once we got up, I went for a crawl around to learn where everything was and practiced standing up using furniture, people's legs, etc. We didn't go out anywhere today; I had a good day playing with Ojiichan (Grandpa) and Obaachan (Grandma).

Japan!

Well today I got woken REALLY early and Takenori and Hiroyuki were there! Despite that, I was not very happy about being woken
up, and let the neighbourhood know that for about 10 minutes (just long enough to drive everyone mad). Anyway, once I calmed down,
we all got into a car and Takenori drove us to the airport. After saying goodbye to Takenori and Hiroyuki, Daddy & Mummy took me onto a plane and we flew to Auckland. It was a good flight, since the man sitting next to us moved to give us more space, and I got to have a bottle. We transferred to the international terminal in Auckland and then boarded a much larger plane! The nice staff on the plane gave us some jars of baby food and I had some juice during take-off and then finished off almost a whole jar of fruit & cereal. I felt very sleepy and they had this special bassinet seat that I got into and had a long sleep, probably around three hours. We still seemed to be in the air and I played with Mummy and Daddy for a while. After having some more food, I was getting tired again but couldn't get to sleep so I got a bit scratchy but Daddy took me for a walk around the plane. On the way, we got surrounded by 5 young Korean ladies who cooed and fussed over me for 20 minutes. I'm sure at least one of them wanted to take me home. Later, Daddy watched a movie called "The Island" while Mummy played with me. I finally got to have another bottle as we landed in a place called "Japan".After picking up their suitcases, Mummy & Daddy took me out into the arrivals area and I met two funny people, called Ojiichan (grandpa) and Obaachan (grandma). They were extremely happy and had huge smiles on their faces, so I was a bit unsure at first, but soon got used to them. They drove us a long way to their home, and now after playing in a special room called a tatami room for a while, we are all going to sleep.

Daddy woke me up quite early today for some reason. I was still sleeping when he picked me up and I had a very sleepy face for a few minutes. We waited for Mummy to wake up, and then Mummy & Daddy seemed busy for the rest of the day, putting clothes and stuff into their suitcases. I wonder what it all means...

Takenori & Hiroyuki

Takenori visited us together with his friend, Hiroyuki. He's a funny guy, like a Japanese tv personality/comedian. Anyway, he's a horse jockey trainer, and I hope he teaches me about horses one day (and gives me one? ;-) ) They had fish & chips for dinner but didn't give me any! It was fun to watch Hiroyuki try Marmite for the first time. I can't understand why he doesn't like it.

Takenori & HyeYeung's Visit

I met HyeYeung & Takenori today! HyeYeung has to go back to Australia (traitor) for work so I won't get to see her again for a long time
:-( Anyway, they had lunch at our place and then we went to the Drummands place to meet Alan, Fiona, and Aidan. I really like them, especially Aidan, who is a really good boy.

Lunch with Nga

Today we went to Nga-chan's house in Thorndon - its really nice!! I really liked the deep pile carpet and just had to crawl around on it lots. I also took the opportunity to play with the dvd cases that she foolishly left near the tv (which is huge!) Mummy & Daddy had a very nice lunch with her (daddy practically drank a whole bottle of white wine by himself) and I got to play with her lots. She really is very nice to me even though I sometimes scream when i don't get what I want. I got a bit restless after having my marmite sandwich and fruit juice, but decided to calm down a bit to take some photos.
We all had a great time and hope to see her again soon.

At the park

We went to Plunket to renew my car seat rental, but they were closed. Before coming home, we went to the nearby park and I had a go at a thing called a "seesaw". I wasn't too sure about that, and had to taste the handle to get an idea of what it was. I then tried a "swing" which I liked quite a lot, but I don't know how to stay on it as it moves, so I need to practice on it lots.

My new car

Today Malcolm & Lyn visited and gave me a Christmas present! Its a cool red car with blue wheels and a smiley face. When the car moves it makes a rattle sound that I like a lot, and the car's eyes move. They also gave a present to Mummy & Daddy, which look like little yummy chocolate chip cookies! But they don't let me eat any. >{-(

New foods

Lately the range of foods I have been eating has widened. My standard foods are potato + pumpkin or kumura + mixed vege, and beef + vege, and chicken + vege. I had fish + vege in Auckland and liked it, although people seemed unhappy with the smells it created. I've also been having mashed banana until recently. I've now started to have slices of banana. I can also eat avocado and today Mummy bought me some white bread. I had a bit of a chew of some of that, and I don't really mind it. Tomorrow I'm going to have some with some stuff called "Marmite" on it. I'm looking forward to that!

New Year's Day

It is now a year other than the one in which I was born! Everyone couldn't be bothered doing anything so we all spent a day lazing around at home snoozing.
